As a leader in the jewellery industry, we believe that we have both a business imperative and moral obligation to look beyond our own business practices to support responsible behaviour throughout the entire jewellery supply chain
Diamond, gemstone and precious metal supply chains can be long, complex and often lacking in transparency. As a result, most jewellery purchasers, and many jewellery retailers, traditionally knew little about the origins of the precious materials contained in their jewellery. The jewellery industry is committed to better understanding the social, economic and environmental impacts of the mining and processing of precious materials, as well as to working to better ensure that those activities are conducted responsibly.
Palak Designer Diamond Jewellery believes that tractability is key to ensuring that mines are operated in environmentally and socially responsible ways. We have established our own rigorous standards for responsible mining that guide our decisions about which mines we directly source from. To that end, we have direct sourcing relationships with mines around the world.
In many cases the output of those mines is delivered straight to Palak Designer Diamond Jewellery’s own jewellery manufacturing and diamond cutting and polishing facilities. Palak Designer Diamond Jewellery crafts the majority of its jewellery in its own workshops. These workshops are among the finest in the jewellery industry, meeting the highest standards for safety, cleanliness and a productive, welcoming environment. Further, our craftspeople are hired from the local communities and paid fair wages to better ensure that our manufacturing operations create a positive impact along the supply chain, all the way from the mine to our customers.
